Jorden ‘Joe’ Jensen RN

Jorden Jensen recently joined the UNHS family as an RN, working in the Community Health Centers at Monument Valley and Navajo Mountain.

Jorden is a native of Price, Utah and he graduated from Carbon High School in 2009. He later served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Louis, Missouri.

After working at the Intermountain Farmers Association & Country Store, in Price, for several years, Jorden thought he’d try his hand studying Agriculture at Snow College. He decided against Agriculture, choosing instead to pursue a nursing career and he enrolled in Utah State University – Eastern. After moving to Blanding a few years ago, he enrolled in USU Eastern – Blanding and continued his nursing education. In May 2018 he completed his RN course and worked at the Four Corners Regional Care Center, in Blanding, and at the San Juan Hospital, in Monticello. He joined UNHS in February and is happy with his decision.

“I love UNHS. The people are super-nice and they have a sense of humor. It’s great,” he said

Jorden is the youngest of four children. He has an older sister and two older brothers. His siblings and his mom and dad still live in Price. Jorden also has a 3-year-old son he loves spending time with. He said he loves gardening in the spring and summer and spends his winters waiting for spring.

Jorden works mainly in Monument Valley, but is at Navajo Mountain one day each week right now. He also notes that although his name is Jorden, a lot of people just call him Joe.

“I respond to Jorden or Joe, or to other names people call me,” he said.

We wish Jorden, or Joe, or whatever you call him, all the best in his new position and we know he’ll be a great addition to the UNHS family.
