Dr. Vance Telford DDS has returned to UNHS after a four-year absence, and he says he’s glad to be back among the people and the work environment he really enjoys.
Dr. Telford joined the UNHS Dental team in 2009, after graduating from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2008 and serving a one-year residency at University of Utah. A native of West Valley City, Utah, Telford graduated from Hunter High School in 1998. He served a mission for the LDS Church in St. Petersburg Russia, and later attended Utah State University, in Logan, Utah, and studied Biology and Chemistry. He graduated in 2004.
Telford enjoyed his time at UNHS, but elected to leave for a time while his wife attended law school at Marquette University, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He practiced in Milwaukee until recently, when his wife graduated in May.
“I missed the mountains and I missed the people,” Telford said when asked about his return to Utah and UNHS. “I like the people I work with in this area and I like the other dentists. I think I can make more of a difference here and help more people here than anywhere else.”
Dr. Telford and his wife currently live in Salt Lake City. He commutes each week, working four days one week and three days the next. When asked about the move into the new Montezuma Creek Clinic, Telford said he hasn’t even toured the new facility.
“I’m just going to let it be a surprise,” he noted. “I’m sure it’s a very nice facility, but I’ll wait to see it.”
UNHS is glad to welcome Dr. Telford back to the fold and know he will be a great asset to the organization and to his patients.
